Exterior siding color

We would like suggestions for replacing the old cedar siding on our home. The roof was recently replace so that is the dilemma - it’s a fairly light gray/blue and can’t be changed obviously. So would you design experts out there suggest staying the course, go darker (if that’s even possible with such a light roof), contrast the trim (or would that be too busy considering all the angles), or other color ideas?
