I just checked the GE Profile web site, & it looks like there are three new 36 inch models. Sleeker designs, two have bridging & multi burner timers. o reviews yet.

I’m not a pro, but I have an induction range ( Fisher-Paykel; it’s been great!) and I think that noise may be related more to your specific cookware than to the cooktop brand. You might take a few of your own pots and pans to a showroom and try them on a few different induction cooktops and see if you notice that sound. I also imagine the cookware they use in the store for demonstrating will be silent.

I have a 30 inch GE profile induction cooktop for 2 years now and will never go back to electric radiant, coil, or gas. i have cheaper ikea pots and pans and lodge cast iron and more expensive pans and none make an audible rattling sound.
