I need proper meaurements of all the spaces clearly marked on the plans . Why all inswing doors in such a tight space . Why a door at all from the hall to the rest of the main living space .What is your style? IMO the french doors could be changed to sliding doors that would free up space. How many seats for dining do you need? Do you need a TV in the lounge . I assume you are in Britain so maybe some rules about what can be done on the exterior. Do you need the door on the right across from the dining space ?

The one doorway is to come out of the hallway - that has to be there (due to fire safey regulations RE the kitchen and staircase being separate). The other door is actually a cupboard under the stairs, so won't be opened an awful lot.

Yes we could change french doors to sliding, although I guess we still wouldn't want furniture in front of the doorway to retain the fluidity of the space?

Day to day there is only 3 of us, would like the ability for more seating if we have guests, but not crucial (nothing an extendable table can't fix).

Yes, a TV in the lounge is a must for us.

As mentioned, the door on the right opens into our under the stair cupboard space. I suppose we could move that potentially round the corner.

So, the kitchen layout is the controlling design factor for me. I, personally, would keep the entrance from the hallway and punch out an opening to the main room and add bar seating. You would get more counter and cabinet space out of the arrangement. I would do a sofa with a chase lounge facing the left wall but pulled forward to clear the door swing, and put the TV on the left wall (use a swing arm if watching from the kitchen is important). Place a desk, cabinets or folding table to the right of the French doors against the right wall out of the way of the walking path. (We rearrange our ground floor regularly for company when having dinner parties or special holidays). Small side tables, lighting and house plants would round it out.
