Hard to tell the size of the space but it looks like a 60" would work . Do you need 6 seats all the time ? I have had a 54" round where we could squeeze in one more chair than the 5 we usually used. I would avoid arm chairs type style fo sure. Why not just use a cardboard piece on top of thetable to see how it fits . I actually might just get a 12mm piece of glass and put it on the table you have for a bit lighter look.

We are a family of 6 so I would need to have 6 seats all the time. The width of the bay window opening is just shy of 9 feet and we have probably 11 feet lengthwise.

Without a floor plan it’s not 100% accurate to say what would fit. The kitchen is to the left and a living room to the right? How much space would there be to walk from the kitchen to the living room? Hard to say. More fabrics will solve the problem of too much wood. Meaning rugs, curtains, upholstered or caned chairs.

I would not add fabric to the window, the blinds are fine.

I would lower the light fixture to 30 - 36 inches above the table top.

A 60" round would probably work well. They also make 54" rounds, too, which would split the difference if you're concerned it won't fit. I wouldn't do a square or rectangular table, given the bay window.

And as others have mentioned, you could also build in a curved banquette.

If you table is 60" across you need an additional 3 feet of space to place chairs, move them in and out for seating.....so you need a area of 11 feet by 11 feet square for it to work.
