Lucky you! those will be wonderful How do you deal with frozen tomatoes?

I haven't made jam in years, since my kids all moved out. I think I've made strawberry once. I usually make Peach/Raspberry. Maybe next summer.

That's quite an undertaking when December is already usually so busy. You're a lot more efficient than I am.

I would typically take my frozen stash of wild blackberries from the previous year, cook and strain and make precious jelly from them when I knew I would have enough fresher to cover the next years desserts. We haven't had the chance (other responsibilities and some illness within family) and with a some odd early very hot weather the last two years to replenish my supply so no jelly and no berry desserts.

I didn't buy a flat of domestic at the Farmers Market. I found some frozen the grocery store and it would have taken 4 packages at almost $40 for ONE dessert. I made apple pie.

How I would love the flavor of freshly picked tomatoes this month! I'm sure yours will come close.

Now if I could just get motivated to make fudge and cookies. Well, and if it would stop raining so I can make the fudge. It's so so rainy.

i made some very delightful carrot marmalade this week ... five pounds of carrots got me three pints. reminds me of orange mamalade, but better.
