Small Condo Upgrades

Hi All! I received such a great response on my last post that I decided to make the topic a little broader. I’ve recently purchased this condo that already has a great core. All these pictures are old, i’m 25 and my style is more organic modern. I like a space to be very bright, sleek, open, but still very cozy and homey. I really like tans, greys and other neutrals and in a perfect world i would lighten the floors and cabinets but not in the budget near term. I already have a lot of nice furniture to bring in, but i am trying to get a sense of what minor upgrades i can make to the place in the mean time. For example things that bother me are kitchen backsplash, shower tile, track lighting etc. Looking for suggestions where i might be able to make some small budget improvements that will feel large! :)

I think it all looks very nice.

I'm with you on the shower tile, but not sure what you could do about it. I like the kitchen backsplash, it has an MCM feel to me.

Congratulations on your new place- gorgeous setting and lovely windows! The lighting sticks out as old fashioned- most specifically the “boob” light in the kitchen. That’s an easy one to replace with something more modern. And the dining space is calling for an asymmetrical chandelier instead of the track lighting. The ceiling may limit what you can install but surely there’s another option that makes a great statement.

I’d leave the kitchen and bathroom otherwise alone until you are settled and decide what your budget can be. Renovations in a condo can become more complicated and costly than first expected. Get some new towels for both and then start planning.

With organic modern style, be sure to get some large plants for inside and on your balcony! Please post pics when you’re moved in and getting settled.
