I remember the impressive amount of work did this summer. Kudos to you! Your winter is looking fantastic.

Here we had our second extremely hot, dry year in a row and being on a well I do not water. Thankfully the garden was in pretty good shape despite that because my DD had her wedding in it in early Sept.

we had a cold wet spring, which quickly turned into a hot dry summer.

the drought wasnt as bad as the year before, so i managed to get in a decent breeding year. the ones in pots are easier to manage their moisture.

The seeds are cleaned and ready to germinate, i made some very focused crosses this summer. we shall see if it pays off.

Summer was dry and hot in Big D. I think Squash Casserole was the only hosta that didn't have burned edges. I couldn't keep enough water on them.

I had many that burned….. I had to move 3 year old Sagae because it was burning badly. Too much sun.Others that burned, were new to the garden and were adjusting to the conditions in my yard. Should be better this year.

I got lucky to have well water and a bit of shade but heat was a problem. There were days when I felt obligated to go outside and work but my activity level was low. Now I wish I just stayed indoor and did something else.

I am hoping to put floor in last 2 lower level rooms over winter and paint my 2 decks over summer.

In the meantime happy to see that my crossing whatever streakers I had with yellow hostas did paid off. I did not get much seedpods but what I got looks good.

I also got few seeds from other sources, looking to see what will grow next year.
