Can you step to the back of the room and take more pics? The rock shapes and grout lines make me think the art you are considering will make the wall to busy. Lines running everywhere. It’s a cool idea, maybe something with much thicker lines? Also, the curtain panels are a bit close to the fireplace for my comfort level, someone in my household would definitely set them on fire.

the new pic needs to have a wider view to really understand the space…it does however reveal more angles… including flooring and some thing black on the left… which indicate something more curved may work better … the right decorative log holders could also add some needed symmetry…

No matter how big it is, this design has a lot of open space and the background of the fireplace overpowers the art. While the larger design is better, neither one will make a huge impact. They will both get lost on the wall of stone.

There is a learning curve but I think it is pretty simple. I used Microsoft Paint, which is a free app that can be downloaded on most PC's. Just go to the app store on your computer. If you have an older computer it should already be downloaded. Just look in the search bar.

I think the larger size works well and like the subtle artistic touch it adds to your fireplace.

I think the wide framed glass door takes away from the art piece. I would change the door too.
