Something to go with peace Lilly

We currently have two peace Lilly's that we love in our living room. They were both near a front window that gets 5 to 6 hours of indirect sun. I have moved them so they are still in a sunny room but just away from the window and they seem to like it very much. I would like suggestions on a plant similar to the peace Lilly height and fullness that would do well on the floor next to that window. 5 to 6 hours of indirect sun height including pot about 2'x2'

How high is the window sill? It seems to me that a two foot plant on the floor would not receive sufficient light. You'd do better either with some kind of tree or using a stand or small table. An Aspidistra would put up with low light, look similar to a Peace Lily and be far easier to grow than the Calathea. You can get variegated ones. But, having said that, I'm wondering why you want something similar and not something contrasting?

This is the place where the house plant similar to our peace lillyies would go. If I can find something similar. 2-3' x 2-3' does not have to be a flowering plant

I thought the pinstripe was a little bit of a contrast. From floor to windowsill is 22 inches. In that window it gets sun from 11am till about 5pm indirectly . And similar in size to go with the peace Lilly which are about 2' x 2' including pot

if you dont have babes or cats.. you could use a plant stand or a small end table for height ...

where are you.. big city name.. so we understand sun intensity .. and what direction does the window face.. is that a north window.. or does it get some direct sum light in it??

this is to teach you the variables and options.. frankly ... when i want t anew plant.. i find the closest greenhouse operation.. that sells houseplants.. and i take a car ride.. up to an hour one way ...and just walk around the greenhouse until something strikes my muse ... we spent many a wonderful sunday afternoon visiting greenhouses.. we knew them all for `100 miles around ... and with the web today.. it should be all that hard for you to find them ..

frankly... us giving you a name.. isnt really going to make it easy to find.. of course these days.. you can get anything thru the mail ..... if i were you.. i would just go to wallyworld or lowes.. and just shop what they have ...

one of the reason they are houseplants..is because they are so simple to care for.. and you can barely kill them.. other than with too much love ... aka ..over water them until you rot the roots off ... so there is no reason to mot buy the first one you see ..

and dont buy from a florist ... thats a different world of plants ... some of those arent as easy ...

6" plant stand that is in front of the South facing side of the house. Which gets sunlight indirect for about 6 hours a day. The Calathea pinstripe plant did catch my eye as a nice fit was hoping for the input that I have received. Most plants come in a 3 or 4 inch pot and would not be placed there till it grew bigger. My other question is how will I know when to graduate in pot size.
