I want one sooooo badly, but I think even my zone-pushing self realizes I'd just be murdering a beautiful, defenseless rose, lol. There's just too much R. gigantea ancestry in the lovely lass. But I want pictures of yours, Sunny MS. I promise not to be *too* jealous.

What zone is it rated?

Kristine . . . Not listed at this time. However, it is bred in India, from R. gigantea, so I would expect it to be somewhat tender.

@Kristine LeGault 8a pnw Kristine, all we can go by until a lot more people grow RC is that it is half noisette and one quarter R. gigantea, and one quarter the obscure HT Carmosine (of unknown ancestry). Some noisettes are hardier than others, but generally Z7-ish, R. gigantea is Z9 or Z8, depending on where the original accession was obtained (high or low elevation), and who knows how hardy the HT Carmosine might be. The only garden that grows it listed on HMF is in Italy!

Your Z8 garden is probably a much safer bet than my (barely) Z7 garden. I'd go for it if I were you. Trust me, I'd go for it, lol.
