The only comment I’ll make is about the corner post and rails in the left rear. Is there a purpose for these? For instance, as a guide for vehicular traffic away from the bed? My eye goes straight to them as they seem at odds with the concrete features, and they don’t appear to have a purpose.

I personally prefer the before picture. It's neat, serene and peaceful. The after, while colorful is bushy, busy and removes the calm for me. The pink bush needs a new home and nothing needs to be added. Less is more.
