and then searching around.. i suppose you meant a green leaf ivy with orange flowers.. which simply did not excite me at all ...

when searching for plant stock... especially for purchase.. you are usually much better off researching and using the correct full proper latin name.. you better nurseries will use such.. and you are usually in better luck finding the rare plants ..

I've never seen an orange ivy leaf -- usually what's for sale is pink, lavender, white, red from what I recall. Did you check any of the seed houses? Maybe Hazzard's? (geranium are pretty easy from seed IME)

They may like to call that "orange" but it is red....and just one of a number of red ivy leaf geraniums that look exactly like it. It is NOT the orange or coral color similar to that of zonal geraniums, Pelargonium x hortorum, like the Maverick Orange you already have.

Even reproducing photos online should illustrate the difference in color. It is very obvious.

That picture does look red, but it's hard to know until you see the color IRL. Some "reds" lean heavily pink, some heavily orange -- so much so that I would consider them reddish-orange, not red.

What exactly are you looking for? Hard to tell from your original post -- where does the Maverick orange come in?
