Both are completely different finishes and choice would be subjective to an individual. 

We tend to like PU more than acrylic.

Hi Sanchit ,

One can go with Acrylic laminate for Kitchen as it has more life than PU if we talk about specifically for kitchen cabinets . There is no doubt that the PU finish looks premium but in terms of Durability acrylic is superior over PU paint . (as in one sharp scratch on PU paint can spoil the things but acrylic laminate can withstand at some levels from sharp things )
