I haven't grown that cultivar but I have grown a number of other oakleaf hydrangeas and recommend them frequently for clients. They are by far my favorite type of hydrangea! With enough sun exposure, ALL oakleafs develop great fall color and recent breeding programs have focused on maximizing that and developing more compact selections. Jetstream appears to be somewhere in between a full sized oakleaf cultivar and the more compact or dwarf forms.

It is too big for my current garden but I'd consider growing Jetstream in a container to keep it a bit smaller.

Should be a strong performer in zone 7.

I used to have one many years ago but swapped it for a smaller cultivar. The fall color of the foliage was awesome but then, that is common in all of the oakleaf hydrangeas that I have had. The best fall color show happens when it got some morning and afternoon fall sun during the cooler fall temperatures. Its planting location received very little direct sun (corner spot with two fences on two sides, one big holly on the 3rd side and a big Crape Myrtle providing shade on top) but always bloomed well (common on oakleaf hydrangeas too) and had nice fall colors. Enjoy! Very drought tolerant here in Texas 8a but do not let it sit in wet soil for too long or you will be sorry as they can easily catch root rot. I have no idea how they measure "stronger" branches; I did not notice anything specially stronger though. The blooms are smaller compared to other oakleaf varieties and thus, they did not flop in my 'well protected from winds/storms' location.
