Rarity went down drastically

I don't think there's any way to predict how long the next plant fad is going to last.

They lost their popularity rapidly when consumers realized how quickly they lost their variegation. Not much fun to covet a plant that doesn’t perform to expectations.

You can always chop so variegation would come back

This cultivar is a dud. It agressively reverts. Cutting it back again and again and again is not a sustainable solution.

That’s what makes them so rare

Who cares if it's rare if it's also less than robust, and reverts anyway to the species.
