How low does the chair go? Turns out it's really hard to get a properly low office chair, even from places that (allegedly!) sell them. You CAN get an Aeron size A, but all the Steelcase, other Herman Millers, and Knolls that have short chair cylinders available make it really hard to actually acquire...but I digress... :)

My desk is at 26" right now. It is a "standing" desk that has an adjustable height because desks are otherwise too &^%$ tall. I paid extra for the extra short range and it's totally worth it. I got a Fully "Jarvis" which is not terribly expensive. It is fully adjustable throughout its range (electric) and has no trouble with the weight of monitors and large CPUs. It goes very tall which is handy for cable adjustment and vacuuming and (I guess?) standing.

There is no "should be"....depends on what is comfortable for you. Do you have a sliding tray for your keyboard and mouse? The desk can be 6 feet tall and as long as you have a comfortable foot rest you will be fine. Its the relationship between the desk and chair that counts.

I also endorse sit stand desks for anyone that is at a desk for long periods of time
