I am completely remodeling the master bathroom and want to focus on the shower. I currently have a shower "closet" - meaning when I bend over to shave my legs I bump open the door. This is unacceptable, although my husband finds it quite humorous. I cannot extend the existing shower because I would only gain length, not width. I am considering removing the jet tub, which I never use, and utilize existing plumbing for a big shower. I wonder though, about the window and by removing the tub does it detract from resale value? The tub space is 59" long x 42" deep x 70" tall.
