SAVING JET STAR Tomato SEEDS?

SAVING SEEDS from JET STAR Tomatoes?
I've been saving seeds from a gorgeous tomato (given to me by a friend) for 4 generations now. I only recently learned the original was a Jet Star. They have been consistently identical every year. Is this possible with Jet Star...or any hybrid?

Is it possible? Maybe but highly unlikely. More probable is that it wasn't exactly the breed you think or the seed at first replant had reverted to one of original breeds used to create hybrid. Bottom line,don't look a gift horse and just keep planting seed that has made you happy.

jet star was developed at Iowa Staate University for the Iowa climate. They are readily available here in Iowa at garden centers each spring; and yes, I save the seeds as well.
