I planted 17 arborvietaes trees alomg my back yard 2 of them facing west are half dead. i wateres them equally, those two get sunlight but more shade than the rest so the water wasnt evaporating as fast as others. they are planted near a maple and a pine tree. they are both dying on the same side. not sure why they are dying. the wind hitting them first? over watering? bad planting spot? Those two trees i didnt add any soil/food for trees. they started to go towards the end of the fall, i planted in beginning of May. I got 2 new trees credited, what can i do different so prevent this from happeing again. year 2 should i continue to water them the same as last year?: 3days a week, using soaker hoses, 45 mins at a time.(5 gallons)
