I removed the drywall in front of my stairs recently thinking I would be a set of cubbys there but I think I can do better. The space is a little unique because, 1. there is a vent to the left side and 2. because of a bend in the stairs there is extra space in front of the recessed space. If you don't hink of the two together you might have a bad idea. Any ideas about how to use this would be appreciated? I think a desk makes a lot of sense to use the full 3' of depth but some kind of mudroom elements might make more sense since this is next to the front door.
