Ammonia is ammonia. Unless a detergent has been added (eg. 'sudsy' ammonia) the only ingredient is NH3 that when mixed with water forms ammonium hydroxide.

I have purchased mine from Menards. I used vinegar last year with good results.

I get mine from the dollar store and it seems to work fine🤷🏻‍♀️

The strength of the ammonia in the bottle can vary. I've checked it out---after my regular source dried up. Dollar Tree's ammonia is still good value, but it is weaker than some other sources.

I ended up going to Wallmart and finding smelly ammonia. Dollar store I will use, even that it has no smell. Just no diluting very much I guess.

My hostas are peeping now.

The Dollar Tree here has ammonia that is only 3%. So if I were to buy that one, I would dilute it by using 1 part ammonia to 6 parts water.

The only way to find out the strength of the ammonia is to write the company and ask.

I looked at ammonia on Amazon yesterday……..won’t be buying there. One gallon was $36 !!!! Not what I paid last year, luckily I still have some leftover!
