Might be Dolomedes tenebrosus
(Dark Fishing Spider).

The spider pictured does not appear to have the ornate markings of the Fishing Spider that is found near water outdoors.

The pictured spider is more likely one of the common house spiders. It does not have the markings of a brown recluse.

Looks like one of the several species of wolf spider, to me. With those long, outstretched legs and the broad shield shaped cephalothorax, it fits into that category. Not dangerous, but who wants something like that in the bathroom?? Eeek

Eh, the black-footed yellow sac spiders are more annoying; they run all over the place and drop randomly from the ceiling ... they get squished. I let the one pictured be ... I had to climb on the counter to photograph it on the wall, so it wasn't in the way or in a position to drop on me; it was gone a few hours later, and I haven't seen it again.

I think this may be a male huntsman spider ... possibly Heteropoda venatoria, though it's a tad small.

The Huntsman spiders do not normally occur north of the subtropical states: Florida, etc.

They shouldn't ... but it's the closest looking spider I've found.
