Pros:
It is great from a durability standpoint, especially if you don't cheap out.
It works great with integrated solar options if that floats your boat.

Cons:
It tends to be the more expensive option.
It takes a little more skill to install well.

It's a different story with respect to home style, but brick and metal tend to go well together. It *is* a very specific look and may not fit the style of your home. If you have a few pictures of the home, post them and you'll get much more specific feedback.

While you are re-roofing, be sure to use a radiant barrier on the roof plywood to reflect heat back out before it gets into your attic. It's really cheap but makes a *huge* difference in heat gain reduction.
