Doing the fig shuffle as temps allow this spring as temps fluctuate quite a bit here in April even had snow the other day albeit just a dusting that melted by afternoon.

Plants are now opening some of their buds on driveway

Hello Martin, for a few days now I wanted to make a post, and you beat me to it !

Same thing here April weather is just like you discribing.

It is colder then usual, last season at this time peach and nectarine wher in blooming stage, this April only apricot is blooming.

I have some fig trees started in basement, and fig tent, I do shuffle some but with cold wind that we are getting they don't do much but buds are breaking open and some breba are showing too.

It's nice to see you posting 😀

    Did you fertilize yet?

    Here are a few pics

    Those are being shuffled.

I have some progress on my inground trees.

For now, two of them are showing breba.

Italian Honey was wraped with light bulb ininside, Little Miss Figgy was enjoying Christmas lights wrapped inside.

Dalmatie is budding but its it's hard to tell if it's fig or a branch bud.

Tena didn't go dormant before wrapping it, green tips stayed green but apical buds looked dried out, but they are greening now, good thing I didn't cut them off.

We are finally having Microsoft weather.

I unwrapped mine (Celeste and unidentified yellow) in the garage and gave them a little water once the temperatures had moderated - and we were getting some 70F days, but also a couple of overnight freezes too.

I brought them out to their summer spots in the driveway last week - took a chance on the2.5 colder (38F) and windy days we had and left them out. So far so good, and we should be past any freezes now. Its looking like I might get a breba crop for the first time!

Also 5 cuttings that I potted and kept indoors with my citrus are leafing out - I think one is Chicago Hardy, but the label disappeared & I can't recall the other - I need to message the person I got them from.
