I am not a big lover of patterend tile on the floor especailly in bathrooms where so much is going on with the floors , shower walls counters faucets lighting mirrors. I like a really simple decor in a bathroom and what you are planning to me is just keep what you have. Can we see all the choices being made ? My fave is 12 x24 plain porcelain tile for both bathroom floors and shower walls then a smaller tiler same color for the shower floor . Then if you want an accent a nice accent tile in the shower not centered and vertical then that same tile for the backsplash and the counter a nice stone . This way whenever you want to change accent colors or paint it is much easier .

I don't have that marble, but another honed marble and 4 years in, it's as good as when it was put in. I know that's not what you asked. If the quality looks good, maybe go for it. Or ask your tile professional?

Waht I said and was reapeated by another is this is almost like what you have so why bother .BTW it is being asked with no context except for the old floor .
