Blooming is heating up just a bit.

Fernstone finally bloomed on the one scape it put out after the five freezing nights killed the 15 it had put up so early:

Black Fathom Depths opened its first bloom today:

And Grometric Wizard continues to bloom:

The clematis are beautiful this year:

Niobe

Nelly Moser:

Huldine is finally blooming a bit:

Apparently I didn't take a photo of Joasephine which is a mess of blooms as usual,

I cannot remember the name of this one, but Miguel is the first half of the name and it has spread all around and through the roses:

and Tavaris Multi Color keeps blooming too

Surely the mornings will warm up soon.

Fern Stone has not done well this year, that warm/cold spell really hit it hard. Dumortieri is really late this year, it has buds with color, should open the next day or so, but it usually blooms mid April. You have some lovely blooms, Fern Stone looks really good. Love the clematis. I have Nellie Moser too blooming, and another I don't know the name.

Nice blooms Kay…..so sorry you lost all those scapes on Fernstone. I’m hoping we all have ”normal” weather for the rest of the season..

Black Fathom Depths looks so good in spite of these cool nights and mornings. That late freeze took out my peach crop (except for 2!!) but fortunately scapes were not showing at the time. Your clematis are so pretty. I wonder if the same freeze impacted mine. They are blooming but not the usual masses.

It's too bad that the freeze took out all of those scapes on Fernstone. What a disappointment! We got down to 28 a couple of nights ago, but Bob was able to protect the scapes on H. minor and dumortieri. We had a few apricots on the tree (which we rarely do), but it looks like we lost those. I love the clematis, especially Niobe. I noticed that one of ours (I don't know the name) has buds on it now. The Iris are sending up scapes now too.

Nice photo of Fernstone and Black Fathom Depths. I love clematis and your photos of them. I just planted a small pot of Josephine a couple of days ago. It will be a couple of years before it really takes off.

Thank you for looking and commenting. We had rain today and Firecracker Parade bloomed but didn't really open too well yet again. these cool mornings interfere with so many opening...Black Fathom Depts was a nice exception to that.

We had a good rain last night. Maybe that will help nudge things along. Roofers are here, I think they parked their truck with the roofing on some daylilies that I was nursing. LOL. I hope you are feeling better Kay, and can really enjoy your garden. Please don't push yourself too hard.
