NORMALLY you enter a room to a full wall. Both of your rooms entrances do not allow you to move furniture in. The closets are on the wrong walls.

I agree with Lorraine - moving furniture into the bedrooms will be hard with the tight passage.

Your entrances should be from 32" to ideally 36".

Shirlpp, the entrance is 40 inches deep. I’m unsure about your point.

It is not clear on your plan that the entrances are 40". Okay - 40" - Cool!

Change your closet in the back bedroom to the outside wall though that is not ideal or just shift the door to the right some to give you better access. It is also the opposite laundry wall that makes that entrance a bit tight.

By shifting your master entrance down to the bottom instead you can now make your walk in closet the full width of the room and prevent that bottle neck entrance.

Daniel A. making your master closet and your back bedroom closets reach in closets will certainly work out great since it will keep both rooms larger. I personally prefer reach in over walk in closets HOWEVER that means you will be loosing the long wall in the back bedroom and the bed will most likely have to be in front of one of the windows. Will this work for you?

I was actually thinking more on the side of making the closets not reach in, but a midline division in the following arrangement:

Daniel A you will have less hanging room with the more square closets but it would work.
