The verdict is in. Purple Candy doens't bleach as bad. Pink Candy does. Moreso, they wilt in full sun. These are well established - planted early-mid May.

I've had the Flourescent Orange and Bright White in same siting and these did not wilt in the same full sun conditions. No bleaching on the orange

Candy series is new this year - never have seen them. I now know they won't work in the siting for futurue annual plantings.

I read about them. They should be in the sun for about 4 hours, or they will dry out.

Full Sun location. Early Morning to Mid-Late Evening...

Purple Candy has grown well - was expecting a potential blech to it....as most colors do in full sun , and there is a slight bleach to it. A bit lighter than liac..

But ugggh, Pink Candy. Even now, it's like 1/3 - 1/4 the size of the Purple Candy....struggling or stunted or just doesn't like it's siting.

I did post a recent thread. Maybe it' my water. Cause after 2 consecutive days of rain, lotsa buds blooms opened but it only lasted for like 2 days before my tap water waterings....looks like bleh.

Pink Candy does recover every night and looks okay for a hew hrs in the morning....and while not full on to the floor WILT, it does not look healthy until shading starts again.

Not the 1st time growing Sunpatiens and these varigated blooms were new to me.

As while not a fan of anything pink, the Vargiated Pink Candy Bloom in my eyes is prettier than the Purple Candy.

For those that should stumble upon this thread re: Candy SubSeries of SunPatiens.

The Purple Candy look aweful right now, full sun, few back to back 90+ days.

No stress on blooms being lost. It's the bleaching. Bloom istelf is varigated but the bleaching is not more a fairly solid mix of striated lavender/white bleached out blooms.

The Pink Candy has blooms but remain small. Literally they are 1/8 of the size of the same Purple Candy plantings - all planted at the same tme. Not much white bleaching going on, and does seems to somewhat hold it's color....

As far as Sunpatiens are concerned, as full sun bedding, classic white and electric orange has always performed and remained true to color with no bleaching. Trial and error I suppose
