Hi Kylie, welcome to Garden Web. Please tell us where you're located (nearest big city & state). Do you have any special needs (low maintenance, dog friendly, prefer evergreen, lots of flowers for color, etc). Thanks!

Some idea

It looks as if there are narrow beds (too narrow) right next to the house filled with rocks. Start by removing the rocks and at least on the left, remove the grass as well and plan for the bed to come from the house to the path. It also looks as it the path needs to be much wider, and even wider yet as it approaches the steps, which should be as wide as the porch/entry area. That is, the steps need to be that wide and so should the path as it approaches them.

If there is any kind of landscape fabric or plastic under the rocks, get that out too while you still can.

Beyond that, it's hard to make any suggestions. What is your zone, where are you located, and how shady/sunny is the front of the house?
