36" fridge/freezer

We are starting a kitchen reno later this year. Despite my architect's urging, I don't think I have the stomach to wait years for a Subzero at the privilege of $14k.....

My kitchen is filled with windows, which leaves me with a very short run of full height wall/cabinets. So I am absolutely limited to 36". Because of the limited space in my kitchen, my architect wants to make that run of cabinets extra full depth to get me an extra few inches. Which means I can get a full depth fridge.

I've browsed the Subzero competitors, and all the 36" fridges seem to be pretty limited capacity. I guess by definition they are counter depth. It seems a shame to install a counter depth fridge with only 20 cubic feet of storage, if I can actually fit a full depth fridge. But there don't seem many options. Bosch offers one model. Beyond that, I'm only seeing cheaper brands.

What am I missing? Is my option either a small-ish counter depth (20 cubic feet) of a higher end brand, or a full depth lower-end brand?
