Hi trying to stain staircase

my main floor one will be matched closely to floor colour. which is weathered oak medium brown

the problem is basement staircase

we have polished basement floor which is different than main floor

do I need to match both stairs to be in same colour?

if not can I iust keep raw wood colour without stain and just put varnish on basement new staircase ?

and for mainfloor I am thinking on left stain rather than right one in photo

does it look ok?
