So what is your color scheme in the rest of the room? Do you like bright colors or something more neutral?

If you like neutrals, then pick out a shade from your fireplace bricks. It looks like you could go with cream, light taupe, or light gray. If you want color, try a bright green or blue. It looks like you have some green accents on your mantle. Is that color too bright? If you paint it a neutral, add some more bright accents.

It looks like a very nice room.

Here is another pic. I did think of painting it the color of the green of the vases but now I am leaning towards more of a cream color. Just afraid to pick a bright color that I may get sick of looking at:)

I agree with chrisinky, I recently painted one of my den's walls with a yellowish green and it really helps bring a lot of energy to the room.

I'd paint that far wall with the tv, with the bright accent colour, and then do a more light, neutral tone on the other walls. Not sure how it'd look with that carpet though (looks kind of pink with your current lighting)

That is pretty dark! The first thing that pops out at me are the throw pillows on the chair - are they coral? A pale coral would be nice, or like you said cream would work too.

Can the center portion of your e-center holding the TV be separated from the surrounding shelving? I think being able to expose more wall in your new paint scheme wold add a real update to the room.

I like that idea of an accent wall. Omg, pink, lol! It's a cream color with specks of blue and brown, very neutral:)

The pillow on the chair is cream? OMG not on my monitor!

No I was referring to the carpet, the pillows are coral, lol!

Oh, whew! Thanks for clearing that up!

What do you all think of these paint colors?

I don't like green at all but I have to admit that's a very pretty green, sort of a sage green, no? However, your furniture isn't white like the picture, do you think your furniture will work with the green?

I prob would go for more of an off white. I do have green accent pillows on my couches and a few green accent pieces

That green can almost be considered a neutral from a design standpoint, but I'm male, so take my opinion with caution. I think it would look nice with your carpet, fireplace and ceiling.

I would go a few shades lighter and paint the ceiling as well- this will open up the space. Something a bit more neutral, with less gold in it.

Golden tan on walls and ceilings? Very pretty color thanks!
