I think the darker colors will show lint.

I like ice. Then I would do colorful throw to coordinate with the colors in the rug.

Did you look at the ones with slipcovers?

I went through the same thing with a sofa color some years ago. I ended up with a color that looks similar to how Ice appears in your first pic. Ours is what I’d call kind of a natural/wheat color. So glad I chose such a neutral color since it’s given me lots of color options with other items. I should add that our kids are grown but we do have grandkids here often.

Nickel gets my vote.

We sat on the ones with slipcovers I. The store but they didn't win us over on feel. Sure would be easier for cleaning though.

I think I might be starting to lean indigo. I've never had a not beige or grey sofa before...

Indigo or Nickel. Both look good with the rug and wall paint. Also gives you the option of easily picking a lighter wall paint down the road.

I've had a red sectional, blue sofa and bright orange chairs! As long as they complement the other elements in the room, I have never regretted going with a stronger color on a large upholstered piece.

I like Indigo. It’s a nice color and can help hide stains. I wouldn’t worry about lint.

I like indigo too but my bite goes to Ice - i think it will make your room very bright and cozy!

On the subject of leather, I've never particularly liked the feeling of leather, and have some trepidation about kids and leather. My uncle had leather sofas and they got really scratched up with his kids.

Chispa, I admire your bravery! It sounds like a great combo in the right hands.

So far, indigo has taken a strong lead. I'm feeling less nervous about it now.

I prefer the indigo. I like the contrast and conects the sofa and carpet better than ice.

These are not perfect color matches, but gives you an idea of what it may look like in your room.

Go with nickel. It is the same color as Sparrow, a B.M. coordinate for Revere Pewter. Then the sofa works with the rug and the walls.

Then consider the colors in the rug for art.
