We just moved into a new condo with this pretty blooming tree on our rooftop. It was bright and fragrant for a few weeks, and is now fading (photo attached). From my research, and from what Apple's plant identifier tells me, it is a lilac variety. My mom is skeptical with this identification because she (and I) have only ever seen them as shrubs. Can anyone help us with what this tree is? Is it in fact lilac?
