many plants have far fewer blooms and many are shorter as you have already heard. I am saying good bye to many Mid bloomers now and anticipating later bloomers

I love the clump shots of Jellyroll Morton and Sugar Magnolia. Mardi Gras Indian looks to be an intense color.

As Julia mentioned, 2 of your pictures didn't load apparently. I'm wondering what a Vanilla Gorilla looks like-lol............Every time I see Mardi Gras Indian it shouts BUY ME. Maybe some day. It's a Wowzer.............Sugar Magnolia is such a sweet shade of pink and Jelly Roll Martin seems to be a good plant for many people............Maryl

That is exactly what happened.I caught it yesterday when it happened yesterday I caught it. I noticed Debra lost one today. I addded in Purple Tarantula at the end of my post since3 it was a triple.

Mardi Gras Indian and Purple Tarantula are nice ones here too. Bad to hear about reduced bud count and height. Aphids here are very bad.

Mantis, the funny thing is, it is "hit and miss", Some are totally unaffected by the last frosts, some are shorter but bud count remains some are the usual height but fewer buds, a few have normal bud counts and shorter heights and a good many, like Purple Tarantula and Jellyroll Morton are unaffected in either way.

I am noticing something I never have before, especially in one bed. Several plants are putting up only a couple of scapes on 1 side. I thought that might be it, but on a couple I am starting to see scapes way down low in the other part of the clump. Well established plants.This bed is on the south side of the house, and in a rather protected area. The side that produced the earlier scapes are on the western side of the plant.
