Green Icon is a striking one, I always like Boss Lady, Kara Louise and Flight of Orchids are always favorites, Golden Breasted Starling is a beauty. As for your clumps, Ready Freddy is a showoff, so bright, Kate's smile is always so pretty and Simplicity in Motion is the winner, so beautiful. Love your garden shots.

Maryl, I have had Green Icon on my want list since I first saw it. Northern Lights had it at a relative ”reasonable price” this year so I took the plunge! It bloomed again today and I will check for sun fastness as the temps are going to be upper 80s today. The first blooms on Kara Louise are always messy and splotchy for me. The last ones are fairly clean. Mine is this darker color while Kay and Debra seem to have a much redder color.

And yes, I have several Gaillardia scattered about. I have an original mother plant and just let the last blooms go to seed and they come up everywhere. At the bottom of one garden shot is one of the new profusion orange zinnias. It is not the Fire Orange that I think I am going to like better.

Kay, the clumps really make the garden, don’t they? Golden Breasted Starling is pretty when it blooms. If I had limited space it would probably be on the move out list. I have had it for several years and it is still only 3 fans. I usually get one scape with maybe five blooms!! This year it actually sent up two scapes.

The clumps are stunners! I think Blackberry Dragon is my favorite today. Your Multiple Multiplications looks good with its pattern. I don't think I've ever seen Kara Louise with that shade of red. It's pretty though.

Debra, although the early splotchy Kara Louise are more red in color, the majority of the blooms have this color. Although pretty, I would prefer the truer shades of red.

Wow--even with destroyed plants, you have a lot yet to bloom! And your plants all have ample space. Aphids are bad here this year. I think it must be the heat.

Mantis, this bed was saved from the deer with only three or four clumps eaten. The roadside bed was almost totally decimated by the red insect. Out of two or three hundred clumps in that bed only five or six were spared and have bloomed.

Yes, Brad, it is hard to believe you chose red over purple!

Stunning bloom on Cara Louise. Golden Breasted Starling is really pretty too, I think I like it better than my similar named ones. A shame it does not multiply better. Mine are doing pretty well multiplying though, so I can't complain. Flight of Orchids is pretty too.
