These are so nice it is hard to pick a favorite, but I will go with Dancing Flamingo X Dearest Valentine and Stenciled Infusion x Royal Cypher

The trip was wonderful. All 7 kids, our grandbaby, daughter in law, and a girlfriend of one of our sons were there. They paid and organized the trip and did all the work as our Christmas gift! It was a home rental at Lake Cumberland.

Pink Shabang makes quite an entrance! The seedlings are all so striking and I love the Razor Sharp seedling. Of course I like the pink seedlings too!!

I like the gypsy Cat Seedling and also Untamed Heart X All Things to All Men; the colors are awesome. I also really like Stenciled Infusion x Royal Cypher. Once again, love the colors.

Interesting that Blue Swallowtail is doing well. Laura may have made a mistake in deleting it.

Kate - Pink Shabang did make a dramatic entrance. It didn't bloom at all last year. I think rabbits ate the buds. The first two scapes on it appear to be rebloom scapes that didn't have enought time to bloom in the fall. A regular middle of the fan scape is just emerging on the third fan. The first year I had it, it bloomed well and rebloomed, but I never saw an edge on it as pretty as the one yesterday.

Julia and Kay - When I saw Untamed Heart X All Things to All Men had bloomed, I was drawn to dreamy colors.. It is a small 5-inch bloom at this point, but many of my registered daylilies have smaller than normal blooms this year.

Brad and Kay - Stenciled Infusion X Royal Cypher surprised me. It looks so much better than the few blooms it had last year. Seeing that bloom makes me want to do the cross again.

Kate - I was thrilled when I saw the edge on that Razor Sharp seedling. The first one of the cross was a dud and will be culled. But thsi one's a keeper. I crossed it with other toothy seedling in this post.

As for Dancing Flamingo X Dearest Valentine, where I used to grow it, it always had trouble opening. I moved it to another location to see if it would improve plant stats,, and now it opens early and flat without any problem. But it's bud count is still pitiful..

Mantis - I think Laura didn't like the size of the flower on Blue Swallowtail since it's in the 4-inch range. It's also not as blue as what Gossard's promotion picture showed. I sent you The Blues Project even though it was always one of the best budded here. But it had a smaller flower than I like, and it was impossible to hybridize with in Nashville's heat. Sometimes really great ones get deleted when priorities change and space grows scarce.

I don't see one here I don't like. Out of all, I may like the Razor Sharp seedling and the Gypsy Cats seedlings best, but that may change the next time I look at them. Great seedlings!

Your pinks and that Razor Sharp seedling are great. That Jurassic Pink seedling at 6.5 inches is one to watch for sure...........Maryl

Maryl - I really like the shade of pink and the white edge on the Jurassic Pink seedling. I hope it will develop better branching and bud count in the future. I do have two seedlings out of your favorite - Pink Aloha - and Bubblegum Queen. One bloomed for the first time earlier this week when nights were cool and could not open properly. It's big, very round, and has a large white edge. I should be able to get a photo of it the next time it blooms. The other one has not scaped yet.

Rather like Happy Happy. Not just ruffles. Could have been that particular bloom at that particular time though. It was the edge that was extra appealing to me, but we both know how daylilies can vary day to day and year to year...............Maryl

Maryl - I still don't get what you mean by the edge. Does Pink Aloha have a "crimped edge"? When I look at Happy Happy, I think double edge.
