A nice pink post. I do like the ruffles on the Pink Aloha seedling and really like the color on Nadine. Dancing Flamingo seedling will be impressive in clump form on a 40 inch scape. Just loving all your pink seedlings!! Castoffs welcome here!! Lol

Nice group. I like the last seedling. Color and form look good. I can relate to having daylilies not liking to be divided. It usually took for me at least 2 years to get them back on track.

They are all lovely, but being weird, my favorites are Nadine and
Dancing Flamingo X UF #2 along, of course, with Bubblegum Queen. You know, some of them just sulk like babies when they are divided.

I'm surprised so many of you cited the Dancing Flamingo UF seedling as a favorite. I will keep it because I like its looks, but it does have flaws. When it gets too dry - like now - those tall scapes start to lean. Also it's never shown enough buds to register - only 10-11. But the blooms are so big - 10 inches - that they are impressive. And I like the rose pink color.

Julia and Kay - I appreciate your comments about how long it can take for daylilies to bounce back after being divided. I think most do pretty well, but a few of them just resist being divided.

I do like the edge on Pink Aloha X Bubblegum Queen 2, and Cexy Samantha X Bubblegum Delicious #1 is quite lovely with the coloring. I like the vivid color of the Dancing flamingo seedling, but every one has something worth commenting about.

Attractive seedlings, all worthy of further examination. The original Bubblegum Queen is my fave. I have seen $exy Samamtha in person, so am interested in how it fares as a parent. The blooms were ravishing.

The huge foliage is definitely evident here. So many plants have become space hogs. Here is a note from someone in Kentucky about this year's issues: "A lot of the daylilies are damaged from the 14 degree freeze we had on March 16th and the 5 days in mid April we had hard freeze again. Most are short and only have the top 2-3 branches. Some of the flowers that open are damaged or small." I myself have already seen stunted flowers on lilium.

Debra, Cexy Samantha X Bubblegum Delicious #1 and Pink Aloha X Bubblegum Queen 2 are my favorites of these. Love the forms and color.

Mantis - The note from your friend in KY pretty much describes what's going on with daylilies in my garden. There are only a few exceptions.

I am seeing blooms that are small and look nothing like they should. Almost like I had oversprayed with Roundup. But then, I have a couple that have branching and buds they never had before. I have not really taken note whether they are evergreens or dormants, I should do that.

Nancy - I'm seeing some that should have 6 inch blooms that have flowers in the 3-inch range.

Brad's two favorites are mine also. You always do pink so well......I was just out grooming my potted daylilies and haven't noticed anything too abnormal. There's always a quirk or two on a few of them every year, but nothing more then the usual numbers this year. However, I glanced over at my in ground daylilies, and noticed that Joan Senior has scapes way down in the foliage. That's definitely not right. If my others in ground do too, then that would be an interesting take - pot vs ground. I'll check further when I have a chance............Maryl

Maryl - I'm glad you saw and liked the new Pink Aloha baby. Do your pots get some shelter in the winter - like in a garage or under a carport?

I love the PINK ALOHA x BQ2 seedling. I love that it is 7" and I love the ruffles and it is pink. Hoping for a taller scape.

David - As a fellow lover of pinks, I appreciate your comments. Nearly everything is shorter than it should be this year, so there's a good chance scapes on the Pink Aloha seedling will be taller either on rebloom or next season.
