Tile Sealant is leaving a cloudy film

Our builder sealed the penny tile in our bathroom and it's left an unattractive film on the tile. They maintain this is what it should look like. The pic below shows the tile sample laying on top of the sealed floor tile. I've read about using vinegar or NanoScrub as a cleaning agent. I don't want to reduce the effectiveness of the tile but it looks awful. My only other thought is to use a wet sealer. Any advice

That has zero to do with the sealer and everything to do with the grout haze that was not removed.

maybe, but my grout sealer left a cloudy haze that ends up being buffed when I clean my granite tiles.....

That is because most granite is too dense to absorb sealer, so it leaves a smeary haze on it. That you are then mechanically removing by buffing. That is also the reason that glass and porcelain shouldn't be sealed. It isn't porous, so the sealer just sits on the surface causing issues. It is all about the porosity of the product for that issue. This is about the grout residue from not enough cleaning after grout was applied.

To me it looks like the grout haze was not removed and waht was the reson to seal those tiles they look polished to me .
