I’m starting a new house project (yay!). Whole new house.

The architect will start construction drawings shortly. We’re soon getting to the point where I need to think materials. I’m lost in pinterest pictures unsure exactly what I want from a design perspective. In previous projects I usually found one or two inspiration pictures that I LOVED and set out to interpret that in my space and context, with the help of many of you on GW. I haven‘t found that one thing yet.

Any recommendations on how to land the vibe I want for this place? I know at a super high level - modern, sustainable. In the vein of Brazilian tropical design. But what next?? Just keep looking for inspiration until something seems perfect? Or find one element i love and then build on that?
