In case you missed it, tighten the handle screw, if that does not work, replace packing..i.e., .rebuild the faucet. Or remove and replace. A professional who charges $100/hr door to door, will often replace the faucet vs spending an hour or so repairing it.

A new faucet at a store will cost ~$50.

Jane it requires "at least a little" understanding of whatever it is they want to work on,otherwise there would be no need for auto mechanics and appliance repairmen. It will do no good for me to repeat what was said in the posts I referred you to. And it's the packing , not the screw that is leaking so tightening screw will not help. Contact the neighborhood handyman before you make it worse using bad advice from keyboard jockeys.

it is a simple fifty cent fix, which watching a few youtube videos will help you through. It does not even require special tools.

You have a nick in the o.ring where the valve seats.

And if it still leaks around the handle after you have tightened the nut around the shaft, you can buy new packing material at most hardware stores in the plumbing department. It looks like rope that you wrap around the shaft.
