Those are doing fabulously well! Just beautiful. I have some on arbors . I attached wire fencing to two wooden arbors and trained a couple of clems to grow sideways till they reached the wire and once on the wire they were happy and started filling it in. I have a Perle d'Azur on a rose covered arbor and this is the second year it has not gone up as much as I wanted. I've tried to train it with limited success. I thought they'd naturally go up but they also go sideways. A big surprise to me is a Henryi that has not been coddled or watered much but is getting pretty big and blooming for a really long time.

I have a pretty big Huldine next to a tall rose . I think it could use more sun to bloom as much as yours.

Polish Spirit is partially shaded but doing pretty well. All my clems are not very old yet.

Mme. Julia Correvon ...this one at least has not needed training to go upward.

@sherrygirl zone5 N il, your Huldine is stunning. I had one way back but somewhere along the way I "lost" it...I have made a mental note to get another.

Both Huldine and Betty Corning are larger growing Clematis. I have Huldine growing up a purple leaf plum tree and Betty on an 11' tall trellis and she flops back down after she gets to the top.
