Kate, your clumps look great in spite of the dryness. It's hard to believe everything is so dry after all that torrential rain you had earlier on when you needed a boat to get to your garden! The seedling looks like it is out of Buzzer Beater but I can't recall if I sent you seeds from it or not. It's very striking!

Beautiful clumps, Kate! That photo of Ruby Star Sapphire? Much prettier. I actually pulled that one last year and it came from the hybridizer so pretty sure it was the right one. That is a lovely bloom. Tricolor s beautiful. Love it. Clownfish is gorgeous. I love polys so green Icon is especially nice. Green Rainbow looks wonderful and Indian Giver is striking. It never liked it here so went to my friend. I had it for quite a few years too. Enter laughing is gorgeous and print it every day, it deserves. it. And, of course, Garden butterfly is a show shopper. Nice post, Kate.

Celeste, I agree about the dryness! That is what hot heat, blazing sun and no rain for weeks will do! You are right about the seedling-good eye. It is Buzzer Beater x something that starts with ”I”. The deer (or cow) trampled through that part of the garden and broke labels and markers.

Kay, Indian Giver never bloomed much for me until last year and then it just flourished! I have had it for years so go figure!! Those Tricolor blooms were the prettiest they have been. That plant has not multiplied and only sends up one scape a year!!

Love that photo of GARDEN BUTTERLY. GREEN ICON certainly looks appealing. I will have to look that one up. I love the photo of LINDA SIERRA. I have about 3 weeks to go before things get started.

David, Garden Butterfly rarely takes a poor photo! Green Icon is new but I do like it a lot. It holds up well in the heat which is a plus for me!

Green Rainbow sure pumps out the blooms. What a clump! I think my favorites are Kierabel and Garden Butterfly. Enter Laughing is so good it deserves multiple pictures to be posted.

Beautiful! Great clump of Indian Giver. Garden Butterfly is beautiful as is Ruby Star Sapphire. I also like Linda Sierra and Shores of Time a lot. Green Icon is nice with so much green.

I am loving your Green Icon. It's so pricey though. I hope it earns its keep for you. Let me know if it doesn't because it's on my list......Butter Cream is gorgeous and your clump of Green Rainbow is very striking to me......You've had a rough start to your year alright between the bugs, the varmints and the weather. We got almost a 1/2 inch of rain this morning, but you know as well as I do how long that will last in our heat...........Maryl

Nice clumps and lots of comments on Garden Butterfly. I assume that your picture was taken early and hence is more on the blue purple side. Any comments on color? Foliage is so big here this year. How is yours? How does Green Rainbow usually bloom in relation to foliage? Looks like just above the foliage.

Debra, Green Rainbow is a bloom machine. And it is a rebloomer as well.

Brad, Indian Giver has looked great. It had a great rebloom season last year.

Maryl, so far I am pleased with Green Icon. Of course it is first year!! This is what it looks like in the afternoon but I like this too.

Mantis, I got rain finally today and lots of it! Yes, Garden Butterfly was photographed at 7:17 in the morning! I love seeing all the colors they are in the early morning before the sun hits them. And I often take the moning vs evening photos to see the difference but I have not done so with GB yet. As happens any spring with massive rains my foliage explodes and it did again this year. Green Rainbow is just above the foliage and usually is like that. It always has so many buds that it mass blooms like this for many days. And usually reblooms.

Hope you have gotten rain as well. I think we were all due some.

Kate: I like your 2nd picture of Green Icon as well. It's really gotten my attention. Does the form stay symetrical like that or do the petals twist and curve and flop around? I don't like that form much at all............Maryl

Maryl, since this is first year plant and it came from Northern Lights which meant greenhouse plant, I am waiting until next year for evaluation. The form stays in this form until the heat sets in and it curves back in same symmetrical form if that makes sense-no twisting

Love those clumps, Kate! I keep scrolling back to look again. Kierabel just started blooming here, very short and few buds this year, sadly.
