Two unknown perennials

I just got these two divisions from a generous neighbor, but she wasn’t sure what they were. photos aren’t great because they were wilting by the time I got home with them. One of them, can’t remember which, was supposed to have yellow flowers somewhat resembling Black Eyed Susans, and hasn’t bloomed yet IIRC. Might have to take more photo when they recover a bit from being transplanted. TIA

Well, the leaf in your hand looks like Virginia Creeper! But the others in the bucket look like Rudbeckkia laciniata. The second lot also looks like a Rudbeckia but unwilted pix would be helpful.

Thank you. Yes, you are correct, the leaf in my hand is not part of the rest of the plant division. I should have recognized the VC. A better pic of the first one, I think you are also correct on that one.

The second one is still a bit wilted. will check again tomorrow after they’ve had a chance to recover. I should have mentioned that I am in CT zone 6.

The Rudbeckia laciniata spreads and will cover a large area.

The last pic could be a Helianthus such as H. Lemon Queen.

I saw that about the Rudbeckia. I may have to take it out as I don’t want anything that will take over the smallish space it’s in. Oh well.

I do that often myself floral. Just the other day I ID'd a Phlox paniculata as pokeweed, because I didn't check the leaf arrangement. Rough Oxeye is vollunteering in different spots, and I had to concentrate on making it more identifiable.
