Help with toe kick vent register

We are mid kitchen reno and have a floor vent that is under our cabinet. Looking for help with what to purchase to vent it out of the toe kick (We are in Canada). I have seen people sometimes just leave the vent open to the cabinet but we would like to have it properly vented out. Unfortunately we dont have time to wait for the toe ductor kit (ive seen on website and amazon) so hubby will be going to home depot to get the parts himself. Any info is appreciated!

Too bad you couldn't get the kit - I used one in my last kitchen remodel, and it was great!

Good luck to your hubby on the project. I would suggest that it doesn't need to be perfect, considering that the alternative is to simply have the conditioned air fill the space under the cabinet (if you can keep leakage under 20%, you'd probably be doing well).
