O lovely, I would love to be able to get hold of some of the Explorer roses in the UK. Like all your plants, this looks very well grown, Rouge.

Hey @rosaprimula UK (Cambridge) Z8/9, I think it might be hard to get the original Explorer roses even here as there have been so many newer Canadian bred roses brought to market the past 10 years or so. The "Explorers" might be a bit passe ;).

That's one of the most beautiful displays of John Cabot I've ever seen. There's a special place in my heart for this rose. He never fails to put on the most jaw dropping show regardless of how I neglect him. Mine is also next to the garage door and I love when the garage floor is covered in his petals. It looks romantic to me, but to my husband, it looks messy, so I try to keep them swept out. I would be lost without my Canadian roses! The Explorer Series will never be passe to me. They're the first roses visitors comment on.
