Didn't Freedom of Expression line up nicely! I see that you didn't give the parentage of Bubblegum Queen on the NGA entry. So no kids listed under B Delicious. I always find it interesting to see the lineage.

Glad you got some rain, time to give the hoses a rest. I will be watering again tomorrow. Your seedlings are looking good again today. Age of Aquarius is lovely, my favorite today. I temember your comments about Soli Deo Gloria, its so pretty just wish it would behave better. I seem to remember Nancy having some trouble with it too.

Mantis - I didn't create the NGA entry for Bubblegum Queen. Someone else did. The parentage of Bubblegum Queen is Dancing Flamingo X Bubblegum Delicious. When the upload from the database is done at the end of the year, the parentage will appear on the NGA entry too. I hope to eventually have at least two more registrations with Bubblegum Delicious as a parent. It won't set pods, but its pollen does pass on nice edges.

Sherry - I was so glad not to have to water last night. I hope you get some rain soon. I've always loved the color on Age of Aquarius. I know growers in the north who get tons of buds on it, but I've never gotten that many. It has 11-12 buds per scape this time. Nancy never had trouble with splotchiness on Soli Deo Gloria, but she did lose it last year. I seem to recall it was a slow multiplier for her.

Debra, Freedom of Expression is a WOW! And cool how it lined up. Zuzu's Treasure X Dearest Valentine is my favorite of the seedlings. I like Star Lord too. Did you know that's the name of a super hero in the comic and movie by Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy?

Brad - I took that picture of Freedom of Expression because the blooms looked like they were lined up ready to march somewhere. LOL I did not know Star Lord was the name of a Marvel super hero. Zuzu's Treasure X Dearest Valentine always looks pretty in a clump. It doesn't have enough buds to register, but its a good garden plant for me.

bubblegum Queen is so pretty, I love Soli deo Gloria. I probably won't replace mine though. Star Lord is almost as pretty in that picture, just needs a bit more edge. Zuzu's Treasure seedling has such perfect looking blooms.

As an FYI, I believe NGA pulls the data in from AHS database. Not sure how often they do that.

If you click on the tab that says AHS link: AHS Daylily Cultivar Info it takes you to AHS site where their is more info on parentage, etc.

Nancy and Kate - Thanks for the shout out on the Zuzu's Treasure seedling! Star Lord is an excellent plant. I would say it is the best purple I grow. I have a lot of pods on it right now that I hope will stay on when it gets hotter.

Julia - I did not know the info on Bubblegum Queen was already available on the AHS Database. Thanks! It used to be the info did not appear until the October following the year your submitted the registration. They must have changed the process.

What a nice post. I am so glad you got some rain. Star Lord, Divas In Diamonds and the eye-catching Freedom of Expression! so nice to see. Bubblegum queen looks delicate today. Seedling Natalie Antoinette X Symphony of Praise is a delicate lovely. I like the bicolor look, and the Seedling Zuzu's Treasure X Dearest Valentine seedling looks good and is blooming nicely...I can't wait to see the Zuzu'z Treasure bloom that is soon going to open in my year. Why am I always behind. We have been busy here. This is a beautiful post with lovely named varieties and more beautiful seedlings. The Zuzu's Treasure seedling is making a wonderful clump. You know I love the pinks so Bubblegum Queen, Diva's in Diamonds, and your pick seedlings are my favorites today.
