It seems the dark would make that space feel like a cave. I actually like a pale blue for porch ceilings maybe see what happens on that one

I like that the current white reflects light off of it. It helps it feel a bit like the ceiling is higher.

I’d paint awning stripes on the ceiling and make it feel like you’re in an outdoor tented room

ffpalms - I never thought about the framing concept. Interesting. Love your idea. what’s not clear from the photo is, the ceiling fans have lights and there are recessed cans the entire length. love the stringed light idea too….
