More seedlings, more blooms, more fun [and work].

I am days behind in posting. These are not necessarily in day order, too many for one post.

Seedling So Lovely x North Wind Dancer. Tall, 9 inch buds, 10 buds. First time ever. Doesn't have the leaning problem of NWD, which is what I was hoping for when I chose So Lovely with its thick scapes.

Unregistered seedling from Karen, Violets Become You x Sharyn Liange. Not many buds but oh so pretty.

Red Viper. Huge & bright.

Vintage Wine trio. It has had an extra beautiful year. A Munson.

Tuscawilla Tigress. Not my favorite but reliable.

Orange Velvet. Not so tall this year but beautiful from the get go.

My largest bed. Just ignore the neighbor's knocked down fence [since the big windstorms]

Your North Wind Dancer seedling is such a pretty color! Woud it be an early or a mid for you? Karen's seedling has fantastic colors, and I like Red Viper too. Vintage Wine is a lovely Munson.

I like your bed shots, and I agree, Vintage Wine is a beauty. I really like Orange Velvet. I am almost always drawn to bicolors and that is a pretty one.

1. I got So Lovely from Oakes Daylilies, as a bonus plant in 2017.. It has never bloomed particularly well for me. Right now it is two rather large plants in two pots, with only one scape. Your choice to use it in a cross gives me hope that it might someday produce the number of blooms one might expect from so many fans. I did repot it last year, but I suspect it needs divided as well.
3. I am fascinated by the coloring of Orange Velvet.

Debra, the NW Dancer seedling would be an almost mid.

Vintage Wine is both Janelle and mine's favorite daylily of all time.

Dave, it took a number of years for So Lovely to kick in. I had to move it twice before I found the right spot. It has been reliable ever since. It really likes full sun and it handles the sun just fine.
