1st Flush done....New flush starting to shoot out.

I noticed something new that wasn't on my WIKI. A few new buds breaking/new stems with from old wood BELOW the new spring flush. Not basal break, just a new bud break.

Anyhow, I presumed once the season was undernway, all new growth would be from uptop. And the subsequent flush would be from 1st spring flush only, etc

On this same rose, I see at least 2 new from below. Going to do a eyeball to see if I can see anymore. I'm sure this is probably normal - just never noticed it and presume new buds from 1st flush North. Just in this particular angle of where I was standing, I was able to see *between foliage* and observe the shoots . For the most part, can't really see *below* beyong the periphery of the foliage of the overall plant.
